To avoid knee pain you should interrupt the activities that deepen the pain, immediately or over time. If the pain is caused by your last injury, using a flexible bandage can help reduce this pain. Using a cane that supports you while walking can also help reduce pain. You can use a cane on the opposite side of the knee or on the hand that is on the side of the painful knee.    Exercise will also help reduce knee pain. However, you should perform exercises slowly and do them several times a day if successful. One of the best exercises you can do if you have pain in your upper knee is swimming. It is an exercise that is not related to weight transfer and, therefore, does not cause tension around the knee. When swimming, you should pay special attention when stretching and bending your legs.  When you have knee pain, the way you feel can cause problems, so you will have to sit in a good position. Be careful when you sit in a position where your knees can bend. If you are sitting for a long time, make sure the leg is stretched to undermine the knee of the grove and release the pressure.
